What a normal order looks like.
Buyers ask these four questions before they send an enquiry, so here are the usual answers for this trade. They are indicative — the terms that apply to your order are the ones written into your quotation.
Minimum order
No fixed minimum
We do not publish one — tell us the quantity and we will tell you whether it ships sensibly. Bulk salt is most economical by full container load, roughly 26–28 MT in a 20ft FCL depending on packing. Finished goods and fit-out quantities such as tiles, lamps, or retail packs ship palletised as LCL. The smaller the consignment, the larger the freight share carried by each piece, and we will say so plainly rather than quote you something that does not make sense.
Lead time
Typically 3–5 weeks
From confirmed order to vessel, for standard grades and packing. Custom granulation, private-label printing, lab testing, or destination-specific certification extend this. We give you a dated schedule with the quotation rather than a generic range.
Payment
TT or irrevocable LC
The common structures in this trade are an advance portion by TT with the balance against shipping documents, or an irrevocable letter of credit at sight. The split and instrument for your order are agreed in the quotation before anything is committed.
Samples
Available before you commit
We can arrange samples of the grade and packing under discussion so you can verify colour, granulation, and finish before an order. Courier cost is normally to the buyer’s account; sample cost is handled case by case.
